Nice outdoor venue. Daily matinee from 5 pm to 11 pm.
Been there only thursdays, which is supposed to be salsa night, el Clan playd both times. West-side place, foreigners are hardly noticed. Nice for dansing salsa, but reggaeton starts early. Los Van Van played saturday matinee as late as april 06.

Very popular sunday dancing, strictly salsa plus house band Moncada playing salsa, rock, zouk++. 
Opens 5pm, prepare for 1 hour in line until 8-9 pm. Closes 11pm.

  Local salsa and traditional bands.   Live music  on Thursday nights.  This is a venue for Cubans, though foreigners in the know enjoy it.  A good place to dance with Cubans, very inexpensive. Never been there..

La Cecilia Miramar (33-1562) Live Salsa (top groups), and recorded music   $15-$20  Outdoor venue with irregular live performances.  Call ahead to the attached restaurant La Cecilia.                      I have eaten a couple of times daytime, haven't seen any dancing.
Salon Rosado de La Tropical Laceiba (29-0985)    

This well known venue is under renovation with reopening possible in 2003.  In its past form it was not a fancy club.  It was a large concrete outdoor arena.  Everyone performed here.
